Adega e Viñedos Paco & Lola es una bodega fundada en 2005 por la Sociedad Cooperativa Vitivinícola Arousana. Se trata de la cooperativa más importante de la D.O. Rías Baixas, constituida por 400 socios propietarios de 200 hectáreas de viñedo en el Valle del Salnés, repartidas en más de 1800 parcelas, cuna de los mejores albariños; un extraordinario patrimonio vitícola en una región como la gallega, dominada por los minifundios. Las instalaciones de la bodega están equipadas con la última tecnología. Paco & Lola es una bodega fundada en el año 2005 por iniciativa de un grupo de viticultores y productores de vino de la comarca de O Salnés, que decidieron profesionalizar su producción. Esta cooperativa se denomina “Sociedad Cooperativa Vitivinícola Arousana” y actualmente está constituida por más de 400 socios, siendo la cooperativa más importante por número de socios de la D.O. Rías Baixas.
Un proyecto innovador.
Desde sus inicios, Paco & Lola ha apostado por una producción sostenible llevando a cabo una gestión integrada del cultivo de la vid. Esto supone un plus en cuanto a sostenibilidad y respeto al Medio Ambiente. Desde el año 2010 somos socios integrantes del Proyecto Life “Viñas Atlánticas” (Life + Atlantic Vineyards), un proyecto innovador que implica a todos los viticultores para la minimización del uso de productos químicos, mediante diferentes técnicas y acciones coordinadas dentro de un Sistema de Gestión Medioambiental. La D.O. Rías Baixas se extiende por un conjunto de zonas de Galicia que poseen unas condiciones agroclimáticas comunes, las cuales originan las características propias de sus vinos. Se trata de tierras bajas, con altitud generalmente inferior a 300 metros, próximas al mar y asociadas a los tramos inferiores de los cursos fluviales. La D.O. Rías Baixas está dividida en cinco subzonas de producción diferenciadas: Val do Salnés, O Rosal, Condado do Tea, Soutomaior y Ribeira do Ulla. Paco & Lola pertenece a la subzona Val do Salnés, la más grande en extensión. Bodegas Paco & Lola está situada en la comarca Do Salnés, situada en el corazón de la D.O. y que abarca el 70% de la producción total. El 90% de la producción de uva blanca en esta comarca pertenece a la variedad Albariño aunque también se cultivan otras variedades de uva blanca. Las condiciones agroclimáticas de esta zona han favorecido el cultivo de esta variedad de uva desde la Edad Media.
