Español [ ES ]Piano di Montevergine toma el nombre del viñedo del que procede, una parcela de dos hectáreas con cepas de aglianico de unos treinta años de edad. Antes de llegar a su mesa, este Taurasi emprende un largo viaje de entre 18 y 24 meses en barricas de roble francés y botas de 50 hl de tostado medio, y otros dos años más reposando en botella antes de salir al mercado. Su brillante color rojo rubí habla de un vino salubre del que emana un bouquet intenso, complejo y armónico: aromas de frutos del bosque, cerezas en licor, clavo, tabaco, especias dulces, hierbas, grafito... Piano di Montevergine se revela jugoso, fino y bien definido al paladar. Con el protagonismo evidente de unos taninos de primer orden destacan también su firmeza, su elegancia y su largo final. Un Taurasi que muestra la nobleza de la variedad aglianico con desenvoltura, moderando su carácter agreste con una elaboración de estilo internacional. Feudi di San Gregorio fue fundada en 1986 en Sorbo Serpico, en la provincia de Avellino. En un momento en el que cada parte de Italia a aumentado la produccion de variedades internacionales, Feudi di San Gregorio señala con valor su patrimonio de la viticultura local. Los viñedos conviven siempre con árboles frutales, bosques, aceitunas y hierbas aromáticas. Hoy son 300 hectareas. La bodega es el fruto de una investigación dirigida a la combinación de la profundidad de nuestra tradición con un diseño arquitectónico futurista.
Filosofía de un arte.
Esta bodega italiana tiene como filosofía entender la elaboración de vino como un arte, con un proceso creativo similar al de un cuadro o una escultura. Gracias a este ángulo de visión tan creativo, Feudi di San Gregorio ha establecido relaciones colaborativas con varios artistas, jóvenes talentos y rostros ya conocidos con los que intercambian conocimiento y puntos en común entre el arte y el vino. La bodega se encuentra ubicada en la región de Irpinia, una comarca histórica en los Apeninos de Campania en la que tradicionalmente han convivido las vides con los árboles frutales, los olivos y las plantas aromáticas. Desde Feudi di San Gregorio se lleva a cabo una labor de recuperación y promoción de uvas autóctonas, como la Aglianico, FIano di Avellino o la Grego di Tufo. Desde el año 2004 y con las instalaciones renovadas la bodega continúa con su labor divulgativa y artística en un entorno rodeado de arroyos, jardines y rosales.
