El resultado son vinos de calidad heterogénea con agradables colores y distinguida fruta fresca, un toque de austeridad y taninos especialmente marcados en algunas cuvées, por lo que les conviene la maduración en botella. Son vinos que satisfarán a aquellos que demandan vinos frescos y modernos, equilibrados y con una graduación alcohólica moderada. En los grandes terruños las cepas viejas pudieron jugar completamente su rol de regulación y en ellas se ha obtenido una destacada concentración. En estas cuvées, los bajísimos rendimientos son una de las claves. Envejece en barricas nuevas y de un vino de roble francés Allier, Tronçais y Jupille.

Nada predestinó a Michel Tardieu a convertirse en uno de los grandes nombres del vino del valle del Ródano, si no su pasión por el vino, los terruños y las personas. Funcionario, cruzó tan pronto como pudo los viñedos del valle del Ródano y otros lugares. Apasionado, decide en 1996 crear Tardieu-Laurent en Lourmarin en el corazón de su Provenza natal. Desde entonces, Michel se ha dedicado a encontrar las parcelas más bellas, las uvas más bellas y las lleva a su punto máximo gracias a una vinificación y envejecimiento rigurosos pero respetuosos, todo en finura y delicadeza para el mayor placer de los amantes del vino.
