En 1525 Bernardino Luini, brillante alumno de Leonardo da Vinci, fue encargado de pintar un fresco de la Madonna de los Milagros en Saronno donde se conserva hasta hoy y escogió como modelo a una bella hostelera del lugar la cual en agradecimiento le ofreció una jarra de un licor ámbar, fragante y delicado. La leyenda DISARONNO nace pues de un simple gesto de amabilidad y de la combinación única de ingredientes secretos, que nos proporciona un increible sabor de almendras con toques amargos.
