Esta última se sigue fabricando hoy en día a partir de la misma receta clásica y atemporal que creó Charles Tanqueray en 1830. Pasa por cuatro destilaciones para eliminar cualquier rastro de licor de grano neutral y permitir que destaquen los sabores perfectamente equilibrados de cuatro plantas clásicas presentes en la ginebra: enebro refrescante, cilantro picante, angélica aromática y regaliz dulce. La combinación de la bebida original con el rangpur, el jengibre y las hojas de laurel da como resultado una ginebra fácil de beber con un toque cítrico.
