Terre Siciliane es el título IGT regional para Sicilia y sus islas satélite, incluidas las Islas Aelian. Esta denominación geográfica se formó en noviembre de 2011 se extiende sobre un área de 35,389 ha con una producción que supera los 1,263,300 hl. Las variedades blancas que se cultivan en esta región son Fiano, Manzoni Bianzo, Grecanico Dorato, Malvasia, Vernaccia, Pinot Bianco, Grillo y Zibibbo, entre otras. Las principales variedades de uva roja incluyen Barbera, Nocera, Petit Verdot, Frappato, Cabernet, Frappato, Syrah, Malbec, Carignano y Gaglioppo, por nombrar algunas.
Características.
Los vinos de la I.G.T. Terre Siciliane tienen unos niveles mínimos de alcohol de 9% para los frizzantes, mientras que para Bianco tranquillo, debería ser del 10.5%. Encontrar el balance bueno en este tipo, donde la madera no tienda a tapar el carácter varietal, es lo más difícil. En este el balance es sencillamente perfecto.
