Al frente de la bodega encontramos a Alessio di Majo, que cuenta con la ayuda del enólogo de fama mundial Riccardo Cotarella para producir unos vinos afables, modernos pero sin excesos, siempre placenteros y con una excelente relación calidad/precio. Elaborados con variedades autóctonas procedentes de las más de 100 ha de viñedos de la bodega, la producción de los vinos se centra en la calidad más que en la cantidad, en un enfoque respetuoso con el medio ambiente y en la preservación de técnicas de producción tradicional. Ramitello es considerado un vino de introducción pero ofrece toda la limpieza y placer que puede esperarse de un vino superior. Obtenido a partir de las variedades montepulciano y aglianico, de la primera asimila su riqueza expresiva e intensidad y de la segunda una elegancia un tanto austera. En nariz ofrece un bouquet del que destaca la intensidad de las bayas negras, ciruelas pasificadas, tinta china, cuero, especias, aceitunas negras y recuerdos balsámicos, todo ello en un conjunto sensual y un tanto misterioso. En boca, Ramitello no traiciona las expectativas y muestra una estructura que sabe equilibrar su contenido alcohólico y sus firmes taninos. La acidez y la larga persistencia afrutada invitan a un sorbo más y a disfrutarlo pausadamente... Un vino con personalidad, pleno, equilibrado y sencillamente delicioso.
