En el año 2006 la familia Coppola adquirió el histórico Château Souverain en el Condado de Sonoma, California, consiguiendo así, un hogar para los vinos de la popular Diamond Collection. Corey Beck, viticultor con más de 20 años de esperiencia fue elegido para ser el CEO y Jefe de vinificación de la compañía. En los cuatro años siguientes, Corey y el famosísimo director de cine trabajaron a la par dándole una nueva vida a la propiedad y expandiendo el negocio de los vinos. En el año 2010, después de grandes renovaciones, la bodega abrió salas de cata, dos restaurantes, una piscina, una galería de cine, un pabellón para las artes performativas y un área de parque con mesas de juego y canchas de bolos. Corey no sólo estuvo a cargo de las renovaciones, sino que también realizó grandes mejoras en la línea de embotellamiento y la bodega, ampliando el catálogo de vino a las once marcas diferentes que comercializan actualmente.
Sostenibilidad.
Francias y Eleanor Coppola siempre fueron grandes defensores de la sustentabilidad, no solo en su vida privada, sino también en sus proyectos y negocios. Esto ha llevado a que por más de cuatro décadas la familia buscara formas innovadoras de implementar políticas y acciones de protección del medio ambiente. En sus viñedos y en la bodega se busca implementar técnicas que mejoren la eficiencia minimizando el impacto, a la vez que se crea un hábitat propicio a la vida silvestre, los empleados de la compañía y los visitantes. Tanto la bodega Francis Ford Coppola Winery como los viñedos y la finca en la que se encuentran ambos están certificados por la California Sustainable Winegrowers Alliance (CSWA) por su compromiso con la sustentabilidad. Esta certificación abarca desde las operaciones de la bodega y los viñedos hasta la seguridad de sus trabajadores y las continuas mejoras en reducir el impacto ambiental.
