Nacida a mediados del siglo XIX como una granja dedicada principalmente al cultivo de trigo, la finca adquirió con los años una vocación vitivinícola y desde hace más de 20 años su bodega expresa el potencial de este terroir a través de unos vinos auténticos y originales elaborados con las variedades verdicchio y lacrima. La lacrima di Morro d’Alba es una variedad semiaromática que da lugar a unos vinos fácilmente reconocibles, de intensos aromas a rosa, violeta y lavanda. Orgiolo ofrece todavía más. Es un vino de categoría superior, envejecido durante 12 meses en pequeñas barricas de roble francés de segundo y tercer año y, tras ellos, otros 6 meses de reposo y afinamiento en botella. Este envejecimiento en madera mitiga una cierta violencia de los aromas florales y los completa con deliciosas notas especiadas de pimienta, clavo y canela, sobre un fondo balsámico especialmente agradable. Precisamente aquí reside buena parte del seductor encanto de Orgiolo, en la manera en que consigue suavizar y a la vez realzar la exuberancia de las notas florales de la lacrima con una agradable dulzura especiada. En boca es consistente, carnoso y elegante. De entrada suave, pero con la inmediata presencia de unos taninos bien definidos que ofrecen en cada sorbo un perfecto equilibrio.
