La sociedad francesa Rémy Cointreau se dedica a la comercialización de cognacs, licores, ron, whisky y ginebra bajo el lema “Des terroirs, des hommes et du temps”, que significa: Los terruños, los hombres y los tiempos. La historia del grupo Rémy Cointreau se puede remontar al año 1724, cuando se fundó la Casa de Cognac Rémy Martin que sería adquirida por André Renaud a quien sucedería su yerno, André Hériard Dubreuil, en el año 1965. Luego de adquirir otras marcas, en el año 1990 se fusionaron las empresas de las familias Hériard Dubreuil y Cointreau, que controlaban E. Rémy Martin & Cie SA y Cointreau & Cie SA, respectivamente. A partir de ese momento el grupo resultante pasó a llamarse Rémy Cointreau. A lo largo de los más de veinte años de existencia la compañía fue asociándose y adquiriendo diversas marcas de licores y otras bebidas espirituosas que hoy forman parte de su atractivo catálogo de productos.
